Having Trouble Keeping Up

(3) Well, I have officially taken on too much.  My original plan for this summer was to take 3 online courses through SUNY Albany.  Unfortunately, as previously noted, I started off behind everyone else.  I also did not factor in that though three courses will be no trouble once school lets out, I did not factor in the first three weeks of June.  Final exams, putting in place final preparations for a summer job, dealing with the all the year-end administrative tasks, and going to graduation, retirement, and confirmation celebrations has just about done me in.  Now throw in the three graduate classes that I started late on top and I’m about ready to pull my hair out.  Now that I’ve become familiar with the feel of an online course (and now that school is finally ending) I really hope to get back on track.  I just wanted to make a post so that those of you who have been kind enough to repond to my blog know that I’m still alive and well.  Thanks everyone and I hope to post over the weekend with a bit more academic material and a little less whining.

    Bill,
I think we all feel overwhelmed at times (I know I do!), but you know how to make the best of it! Three courses is a lot for one summer so I wish you luck! Its just like your blog title says, this will be an adventure!

I feel your pain! I did the same thing last year and ended up dropping one of the 3 courses (this one!!!) which I got around to doing too late and was charged several hundred dollars for. Oh, brother! And here we are supposed to be well-organized teachers! It will get better for you very soon. You must be in your last week of exams, grades are due, and graduation is this Friday. Just focus on the light at the end of the tunnel. Meanwhile, try to get some ‘you’ time! Hang in there.

Bill (2), Hang in there. I too have been known to take on too much, and finally find myself just taking a deep breath, and saying, “I can do this, and I will.” End of discussion. So, I wish you good progress, and just take it one step at a time. Anne(2)

Thanks for the encouragment!!! As it turns out, responding to all of your kind blog posts is the last thing I have to do to catch up. I’m home free!!! Well, not exactly – there is still a ton of work to be done but now that school is out, I think I might actually be able to make it!!!
